Protect Every Bushel, Season After Season.

When capacity and structural integrity aren’t negotiable, Sioux Steel commercial bins deliver. Hoffmann Storage is an authorized dealer and installer, bringing over a century of Sioux Steel engineering — and a century of Hoffmann construction expertise — to every project we build.

Built for Today’s Heavier Grains

Modern hybrids are producing higher test weights than ever before. Sioux Steel commercial bins are engineered for it, designed to store grains weighing up to 70 lbs/bushel, well above the industry standard of 60 lbs/bushel. Whether you’re storing corn, soybeans, or wheat, your bin is built to handle what today’s fields produce.

Available Systems

64 LB/Bushel Bins (18’–132′ diameter)

Designed for free-flowing grains up to 64 lbs/bushel. Fill rates up to 20,000 bu/hr; unload rates up to 25,000 bu/hr.

70 LB/Bushel Bins (90′, 105′, 132′ diameter)

Three stiffeners per sidewall sheet for added strength. Same high-speed fill and unload capacity — built for the heaviest commercial loads.

Why Sioux Steel?

Heavy-Duty Capacity

Engineered for high-yield grains up to 70 lbs/bushel and densities up to 56 lbs/ft³ — purpose-built for today’s high-performance hybrids.

Durable Galvanized Steel

Standard on all bins and roofs for long-lasting protection against rust, corrosion, and harsh Midwest weather.

High-Strength Construction

Manufactured from 70,000 psi tensile strength steel with 7/16″ hardware and double back plates at stiffener splices for maximum structural integrity.

Efficient 4" Corrugation

Reduces friction for smoother grain flow and requires fewer sheets — lowering construction costs without cutting corners on strength.

Peak Load Ratings

Roof peak loads up to 50,000 lbs, engineered to handle snow loads up to 50 lbs/sq ft.

Wind Rings & Anchor System

Precision-placed wind rings and a base plate/shim anchor system provide exceptional stability and a strong, direct load path from top to foundation.

Steel Bin Storage – FAQs

Can you help with older or existing bin sites?

Yes. We can evaluate existing or older bin sites to determine if upgrades, replacements, or expansions are feasible

When is the best time to plan a bin project?

The best time is before harvest. Early planning allows time for layout, permitting, foundation work, and scheduling to avoid delays.

Do you work with farm and commercial operations?
Yes. We work with both farm-level and larger commercial storage projects, tailoring each system to the operation’s scale and needs.
What factors affect the cost of a steel bin project?
Cost depends on bin size, height, site conditions, foundation requirements, unloading systems, accessories, and overall project scope. We focus on building a solution that fits your operation rather than overselling unnecessary components.
Do I need a concrete foundation?
Yes. Proper foundations are critical for bin performance and longevity. We coordinate foundation requirements and loads to ensure the bin is built correctly from the ground up
