Durable Galvanized Steel

Standard on all bins and roofs for superior, long-lasting protection against rust and harsh weather.

High-Capacity Roofs

Peak load ratings up to 50,000 lbs.

Efficient 4" Corrugation

Reduces friction for easier grain flow and requires fewer sheets, lowering construction costs.

High-Strength Material

Manufactured from strong 70,000 psi tensile strength steel.

Features of Commercial Grain Bins

Peak loads are available up to 50,000 LBS. or for snow loads up to 50 lbs. per square ft.

Bins use both an insert and two back plates at stiffener splices. We also utilize 7/16” HARDWARE.

Engineered to store grains weighing up to 70 LBS. PER BUSHEL! The industry standard is just 60 lbs/bushel.

GRAIN WEIGHTS

“We’ve seen test weights of grains increase over the last decade due to new hybrids and genetics. We now average 60 pounds per bushel of corn, 60 pounds per bushel of wheat, and our soybeans range from 55 to 60 pounds per bushel. Grain storage facilities need to account for these increased test weights in the engineering of their products”

Wind Rings

Our bins are equipped with sturdy wind rings that can withstand even the strongest winds! Each ring is thoughtfully placed and tailored to your bin’s specific size, guaranteeing top-notch stability and safety.

Anchor System & Shims

Our precision base plate and shim system provides a sturdy, enduring foundation for our commercial bins, guaranteeing exceptional stability and a strong, direct load path that ensures unmatched structural integrity.

Accesories

Side Draw Unload System

The standard side draw unload system features a 12”x12” discharge opening and a capacity of 9,000 bu/hr. A spout extension is included with every side discharge unit.

Floors

We offer an exciting range of floor systems tailored to your needs, including full floors above concrete with customizable plenum heights and flush-in-concrete patterns. Hopper bottom aeration systems for both concrete hopper foundations and steel commercial tanks are available.

Roofs

30° roof slopes improve water and snow runoff to protect grain quality.

  • 30-Degree Roof Slopes
  • Roof Edges
  • Bridging Rings
  • Cap Options
  • Ladders
  • 4” Roof Ribs
  • Hooded Roof Vents
  • Man-Way

Roof Vents

Standard roof vents feature a large 18” x 18” inlet for maximum air movement. Their precut holes with an extended lip create a tight, permanent seal that resists moisture and condensation.

Power Vents

Power vents utilize a 24″ axial fan with a 2hp explosion-proof motor. Their tapered shape allows them to be installed relatively close to the peak, so they pull moist air out of the top of the bin.

Roofs Are Temperature Cable Ready

We engineer our roofs to withstand the heavy pull from temperature sensor cables, which can exceed 2,000 pounds of force each. This load changes based on grain depth, type, moisture, and how tightly it’s packed.

Ladder & Cages

  • Manufactured from heavy-duty steel sections that fit the bin side wall with each ring. An economical way to gain access to the roof of the bin.

  • Ladder security doors are available and attach to the outside grain bin ladder to impede its use. Doors can be locked and measure 21″ x 76″.

Doors

Ease of access and safety features.

  • Grain Bin Access
  • Tieless Walk-In Doors
  • Door Steps

Stairs

  • Convenient Access
  • Easy Steps/Platforms
  • Platform Filler

Towers & Conveyors

Built for strength, stability, and seamless integration with your storage and handling systems

Engineered for speed and efficiency to reduce downtime.

Catwalks

Three styles of catwalks are available, including a robust standard line with a maximum standard span of 190′.

Towers

Elevator support towers feature built-in stairways and platforms and are made with structural steel columns, beams, and braces.

Walk-arounds

Peak Walk-Arounds

Peak walk-arounds are available with full handrails to create a large, secure area on the flat cap for access to conveyors and spouting.

Mid Walk- arounds

Located approximately in the middle of the roof, they provide a safe way to access and perform maintenance on powered roof exhausters.

Steel Bin Storage – FAQs

Can you help with older or existing bin sites?

Yes. We can evaluate existing or older bin sites to determine if upgrades, replacements, or expansions are feasible

When is the best time to plan a bin project?

The best time is before harvest. Early planning allows time for layout, permitting, foundation work, and scheduling to avoid delays.

Do you work with farm and commercial operations?
Yes. We work with both farm-level and larger commercial storage projects, tailoring each system to the operation’s scale and needs.
What factors affect the cost of a steel bin project?
Cost depends on bin size, height, site conditions, foundation requirements, unloading systems, accessories, and overall project scope. We focus on building a solution that fits your operation rather than overselling unnecessary components.
Do I need a concrete foundation?
Yes. Proper foundations are critical for bin performance and longevity. We coordinate foundation requirements and loads to ensure the bin is built correctly from the ground up

Ready to invest in grain storage? Financing is available.

Through our lending partner AgriFinancial (AgFi), you can finance your new Sukup bin system with 100% financing available: covering bins, concrete, electrical, and more. With flexible payment options designed around your cash flow, getting started is easier than you think.
